Creating Your Estate

An Estate is your top-level container in CO2 Asset Management. Think of it as your organization’s property portfolio - the folder that contains all your sites, buildings, and assets.

You’re setting up for your organization: You manage multiple buildings or sites and want them all in one place. Create one Estate (e.g., “Acme Corporation Properties”) and add all your sites within it.

You’re just trying out the system: Even if you only have one building, you still need an Estate first. Create it with a simple name and move on - it takes 30 seconds.

Dashboard showing the Create Estate option
  1. From the dashboard, click Create Estate (or the + card)

  2. Enter a name - Choose something clear:

    • “ABC Corporation Properties”
    • “NHS Trust Portfolio”
    • “My Buildings” (for personal use)
  3. Add optional details (you can fill these in later):

    • Description
    • Primary contact
    • Address
  4. Click Create

You’re taken to your new Estate’s dashboard. It’s empty - that’s expected.
